Yarn Along

Joining in with Yarn Along at Small Things for the first time - hello!

In the top photo you can see a very nearly completed MillaMia Clementin Pocket Scarf. It's been the perfect project to accompany tele-watching as it is just inches and inches of 3x3 rib so requires little concentration! One more episode of Borgen and it should be finished!

The bottom photo shows the very early stages of a Spring Garden Tee from Never Not Knitting.  I've never knitted anything using the top-down method, I rarely use circular needles and have only once used a stitch marker so this is a big adventure!  I suspect that, like driving an automatic car after years of using a gear stick, there will be no going back to two needles, separate pieces and sewing up.

As for the book, it's Run Fat Bitch, Run by Ruth Field. It's a great read, very funny and highly motivating.

  1. Yep, there will be no going back now! Top-down on a circular is the way to go! That is very pretty yarn you are using.
    Happy Yarn Along!

  2. Having just made my first circular top down sweaters (after years of complicated Rowan kids piece patterns), I honestly can't see myself ever going back to all that fussy finishing! And the scarf looks so perfect ;0)

  3. I love the scarf--simple, classic, and a beautiful rib. The pocket scarves always just sound like a really cool idea to me.
